Went there to college (not UB or Buff State) and it was a pretty good college town waaay back then but nothing I could suggest likely survives. Do see Niagara Falls if you have a chance. The Canadian side (if they'll let you in) has the better view but the Americans have the Cave of the Winds, which is pretty cool (in more ways than one).

We weren't there long enough to check out Niagara Falls this time (we've seen it from the Canadian side on a previous trip, though).
